Gypsy Vanner/ Standardbred Cross
October 27 2006 - 14 hh
Ee, Tt, aa
Sire: Mr Beau Jangles
Dam: Sasha
Ziggy was the first gypsy vanner cross to be born in New Zealand and what a lovely filly for NZ's first. I woke up on my birthday, went out to check the horses and could not figured out what the blob was on the ground next to Sasha. It was not until I was close enough that my excitement completely took over and I must have gawked at her for over an hour before they could tear me away. She was the most endearing little creature that I had seen and such incredible colouring. I could not have asked for more on that special day. She has matured into one lovely mare with her forte being she loves to jump, but fortunately not out of her paddocks. She will make a great riding pony and would also be fantastic at jumping, eventing or whatever she takes on. She has once again made New Zealand history by foaling New Zealand first ¾ gypsy vanner, Chiquteka here and in Australia. I thought I would never sell her, but I am wrapped that someone as sincere and delightful as Shiree Palmer of Otaki has come to take her to her new home. I think Shiree is excited as I was that first day I met Ziggy and she tells me she sometimes now has trouble sleeping at night and counts the days till Ziggy is home with her. Ziggy has a lovely smoochy temperament and no doubt Shiree will fall completely in love with and never let her go. Congratulations Shiree and best of luck to the both of you!
